How Legacy Automotive Began
John Javorek owned Fuji Motors in Boulder for decades. He was the kind of shop owner who knew his customers by name, knew their cars by sound, and treated every vehicle that came through the door with patience and craft. When he passed away in January 2013, roughly 200 of his customers attended his funeral. That is the measure of the trust he built.
His brother Pete Javorek and a small team that included Ange Mardick, who had been Fuji's office manager, and Ricardo Cervantes, one of Fuji's mechanics, knew his legacy could not end there. Josh Gough returned from Alaska to help carry it forward. On February 19, 2013, Legacy Automotive opened its doors at 1900 55th Street, just blocks from where Fuji had served Boulder for years.
The mission was simple. Honor John. Keep the standard. Treat people like family. Show our work. Stand behind every repair. Twelve years later, that mission has not changed.
