Wheel Alignment

Wheel Alignment Services in Boulder, CO

Boulder potholes, curb hits, and lifted suspensions all knock alignment out of spec. We bring it back, dialed in for how you actually drive.

Four-wheel computerized alignment at Legacy Automotive in Boulder, Colorado

Four-wheel computerized alignment for cars, trucks, SUVs, and lifted vehicles. We adjust toe, camber, caster, and thrust angle to factory specification, or to a custom spec when your build calls for it. Done by ASE certified technicians on a Hunter alignment rack.

What We Do

Alignment for every vehicle type.

From a daily commuter to a lifted four-wheel-drive truck, we set the geometry that protects your tires and steers true.

4-wheel computerized alignment

Full four-corner measurement and adjustment on a Hunter alignment rack.

Toe, camber, and caster adjustment

All three angles set to spec where adjustable. Shims and adjustable arms when factory range is short.

Thrust angle correction

Critical for straight tracking. Wrong thrust angle is why your steering wheel sits crooked.

Lifted vehicle alignment

Trucks and SUVs with lift kits, leveling kits, and custom suspension components.

Performance vehicle alignment

Track-day, autocross, and street-performance alignments to a custom spec.

Alignment check and report

Pre and post measurements documented and provided in writing so you see exactly what changed.

Warning Signs

How to tell your alignment is off.

If you notice any of the following, do not wait. Small issues become expensive ones quickly.

  • Vehicle pulls to one side on a flat road
  • Steering wheel is off-center when driving straight
  • Uneven tire wear, especially on inner or outer edges
  • Vibration through the steering wheel
  • After a curb hit or significant pothole
  • After suspension work or new tire installation
  • Steering feels loose or wandering
Our Process

How we run an alignment.

  1. Pre-alignment inspection

We check tie rods, ball joints, control arm bushings, and wheel bearings. Worn parts must be replaced first.

  2. Mount on the alignment rack

Hunter equipment, calibrated targets, and accurate four-corner measurement.

  3. Adjust to spec

Toe, camber, caster, and thrust angle set to factory specification or your custom target.

  4. Verify with a road test

Confirm straight tracking, level steering wheel, and no pull on real Boulder roads.

  5. Printed report

Before and after numbers in writing. You see exactly what was adjusted and where it ended up.

Why Legacy

Why alignment matters here.

We will not align over worn parts

An alignment on top of a worn tie rod or ball joint will not hold. We fix the cause first, then align.

We explain the report

Numbers without context are noise. We walk you through what changed and why it matters for tire life.

Alignment included with new tire packages

Every new tire install includes an alignment check. Straight tracking is part of the deal.

Lifted truck capable

Lifted and leveled trucks need adjustable upper control arms or specific shim kits. We do the work right.

Built for Colorado driving

Mile-high roads ask more of every vehicle.

Boulder potholes are an alignment killer. So are curb hits in the King Soopers parking lot, washboard gravel on canyon drives, and the occasional snowbank in winter.

  • Altitude

Lean-running engines, harder-working turbos, and drivetrains that climb every commute.

  • Freeze cycles

Repeated thaw and refreeze chews through seals, hoses, batteries, and brake hardware.

  • UV and dust

High-altitude sun and grit accelerate paint, plastics, glass, and intake fouling.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Most vehicles benefit from an alignment check once a year, after any pothole or curb hit, after suspension work, and with every set of new tires. If you notice pulling, off-center steering, or uneven wear, do not wait.

These guys are honest, transparent, and clearly know what they are doing. They walked me through everything with photos before doing the work.
